The Sixteenth Annual Conference of the American Association of Australian Literary Studies will be held at the Kansas City Marriott on the Country Club Plaza, April 18-21, 2002. Invited authors will be John Kinsella and Lily Brett.

Airport. Shuttles run between the

City International (MCI): Take I-29 South to I-35 South.
Take I-35 South to 27th and Broadway (which is a left hand exit).
Take Broadway to 31st Street, which is the 1st stoplight. Make a left on 31st, go to the next stoplight, which is Main
Street, make a right on Main. The
hotel is 14 blocks on the left hand side of Main Street.

Tour: An excursion into the tallgrass prairie of the Kansas Outback. Includes a visit to the Tallgrass Prairie National Monument at the historic Spring Hill/Z-Bar Ranch near Strong City, a visit to a working ranch in the flint hills of Chase County, and lunch at the Hays House Restaurant (in operation since 1857; excellent food) in historic Council Grove on the Santa Fe Trail.
